In this episode of Oh Snap! Caroline and I give ourselves a shameless hometown promo as we take a staycation in the beautiful Los Gatos, California. This trip was so much fun because we really didn't have to plan or stress because we are so familiar with the area. It was so much fun to see a place we know so well turned into something new and seen through a new perspective, or lens, I should say.

Our first stop of the day was none other than our awesome school, Los Gatos High. There is an urban legend that our cool school was the inspiration for East High in the popular movie, High School Musical, but, as I said, thats just a legend ;) Anyway... we explored our school in a new light, looking around our everyday environment for cool new angles.

After we went around school, we took a little detour down to the weight room and walked down to the infamous tunnels, visited by countless generations of LG students. Caroline, being the experienced one and all, went first through the forest like path while I trailed behind, freaking out about getting lost. We eventually got to the tunnels and took some pictures that were, as the kids would say, dope af. Although this photo spot was very cool and all, it is hard to get to and easy to get lost, so make sure to go with a group of friends and good memory.

(Pizza is better tbh)

After our trip to the school, we walked down the street to take some quick pics of the Los Gatos Public Library. We only took a few photos here, but this library is a very great place do get down and dirty with your homework. If you ever need a study break while working, the library is a great place to be for the snapchat or Instagram stories.

While walking around downtown, we got to see all the little details that make Los Gatos so different and special compared to other towns. The flowers dotting every corner, the beautiful shops, all of these things allow anyone visiting to feel a sense of homeyness and comfort in these streets. Downtown Los Gatos is a very friendly place, great for visitors of all ages and abilities.

While walking around, we stumbled upon a church courtyard full of flowers and statues. This church, right next to a busy street, was surprisingly very quiet and serene, and allowed for a new perspective at the busy life in downtown Los Gatos. Almost like a sanctuary, we were able to take an array of photos without fear of pedestrians blocking a shot.

For our next and final stop, we walked down to Old Town and the entrance of the trail to see a more unfamiliar place. Although Old Town is the oldest place in LG, I usually don't go down there. My friends and I usual chill on North Santa Cruz Avenue because it has most of the restaurants and stores that we like. Old town is definitely more quiet and more of a place for grown ups to be.
